Second in County Science Fair with Gorilla Tape

"I am a seventh grade student in Wilmington, NC. I just competed in the county science fair and placed second in the Engineering category. My project compared several different brands of duct tape. It showed that Gorilla Tape far out performed other tested brands. Here's the conclusion from my project:

My 101st use for Gorilla products

"It was a typical Monday morning at work. Anything that could go wrong did. I was putting a transmission in a truck, and as I squatted down to pick up a tool, I heard ""riiiiiip"". I stood up and realized I just split my pants.

After stapling them together, they only lasted 5 minutes. Then, I thought I'd try some Gorilla Tape. That lasted until 8 p.m. that night.

Gorilla is the Word that Ought to Follow

Ever blown out too much drywall, plaster or mortar installing plastic anchors, or even molly and toggle anchors when putting up curtains or hanging stuff? Gorilla Glue, applied to an undersized piece of wood, anchor or screw, will fill the gap and hold things tight.

2 Years Later

"I bought a new car in 2008, and in 2009, I hit a cat and it knocked my fog light out (broke the housing). A replacement was $210.00, and I didn't want to spend that much on a new assembly for the fog light. Instead, I went out and bought a bottle of Gorilla Glue, and applied as the directions stated, clamped it, and let it dry overnight.

Gorilla Tape

"I would like to report that Gorilla Tape is the only thing holding my car, a 1994 Suzuki Sidekick, together! I have even washed the car in the car wash, and the Tape is still holding. In the rain, the Tape is still holding. Through snow and ice, the Tape is still holding. Because I can't bear to part with my little Sidekick, I sing the praises of Gorilla Tape!"

Bumper Help!

The front bumper on our 1998 Durango started rusting several years ago and looked pretty bad. I used Gorilla Tape on it, and it's still attached! That's through several years of Northwest Chicago winters and many, many car washes. It's saved us a lot of money, not having to replace the bumper (my wife has been unemployed since June 2011)! Thanks for your great product!

Old Boots

My soles of my favorite pair of work boots came off. The first thing that crossed my mind was "Gorilla Glue". I took them to a boot and shoe repair shop about 25 minutes from my home. They called me in about a week and a half to inform that my boots were ready. Two days later and $10.50 poorer, I was on the phone with them again about the soles coming loose.

Preventing a Blow Out

I ordered new tires for my BMW M3, but they had not arrived yet. One of my tires had worn very badly and had the metal cords showing through on the inside edge of the tire. So, I figured that, to prevent a blow out before the new tires arrived, I would wrap my favorite Tape around it a few times.

Guitar Repair with Gorilla

My beloved 1950's Gibson LG-2 guitar came crashing down from a coat hanger. There was a piece of leather tied to two tuners, which came untied in 2006. The headstock was completely cracked along three tuners, which came off. I was able to fix it all with Gorilla Glue. There's a photo of it still looking good taken in February, 2011, and it is still going strong today. Thanks, Gorilla!

Dirt Bike Oil Drain Bolt Rounded Off

I purchased a used 250 dirt bike for my girlfriend. When performing the first oil change, the oil drain bolt was stripped and rounded off. I tried every trick - different shaped sockets, applied heat, specialized wrenches, rubber band friction - nothing worked. The only options left were to drill the bolt out or try grinding the bolt's shape back, which are difficult to do.
